The management and staff have worked closely with a local innovative learning disabilities project and provider agency to gain an in-depth understanding of the needs and wants of individuals and their families when deciding what is required from a holiday or short break and they have developed a person centred booking

Accessible B&B launches this Spring
In need of a break, but concerned about accessibility? Relax, and welcome to The Barn B&B at Holton Lee.
History, heritage & accessibility Dorset's Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, should be on everyone's itinerary for a short break or a long stay. And while Dorset has a wealth of fine accommodation - from cosy B&Bs to boutique hotels to major chains - little of it is truly accessible.
Until now.
Holton Lee, between ancient Wareham and historic Poole, is one of Dorset's leading charities championing the environment, arts and disability access.
From the ground up, The Barn B&B was designed to be accessible and offer peace, privacy and dignity. Each of The Barn's 10 twin or double rooms, all on one level, has pleasant rural views, ceiling tracking and a spacious wet room with Clos-o-Mat shower-lavatory.
A world away yet a home from home With good links by road and rail, The Barn B&B is the ideal location for a holiday on the South Coast.
Dorset is the biodiversity centre of the country and Holton Lee is arguably the biodiversity centre of Dorset. A naturalist's heaven, much of Holton Lee's 350 acres is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), with habitats including woods, heath, reedbeds and saltmarsh.
Holton Lee strives to provide access for all to the environment with accessible pathways that interconnect the varying habitats, interpretation panels, resting places and waymarkers, as well as maintaining and conserving the natural interest of the SSSI.
Enjoy on-site accessible birdwatching, carriage driving, arts and other activities or simply take time to unwind with a good book.
Hearty breakfasts made from locally-sourced ingredients, including from Holton Lee's organic Ashtree Cottage Garden, will be the perfect way to start each day. Packed lunches for your excursions away from Holton Lee can be arranged.
Time to book your break at Holton Lee. A holiday at The Barn B&B, with 10 en-suite and accessible rooms as well as many other accessible facilities on site, costs less than you might think while the memories will last forever.
