Cowden Farm
Cowden is a busy farm where adults with learning difficulties can learn about caring for animals and growing flowers and vegetables. There are horses, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys and two naughty ducks!
People who go to Cowden Farm either use their Direct Payment or they pay from themselves.
Cowden Farm is in Charminster, just north of Dorchester. Transport can be arranged from within the local area and from Weymouth at a cost of £5 per day.
Be prepared for mud, hard work and bad weather! You will be rewarded with fun, friends, fitness and loads of new skills!

Vocational Services is running an Eco Friendly waterless car washing project for adults with disabilities to develop work and social skills helping them move on to paid employment.
The project will operate from the Mount Pleasant Park and Ride facility in Weymouth, beginning Wednesday from 31st August.

The Magdalen Project
A residential education centre set on a 132 acre organic farm. In the process of developing a range of facilities and services that will work along side and complement other organisations working with those who have special educational needs.

The Keys at St Peter's
Each Thursday they hold the "Keys", inviting anyone to drop in from
11.30am to 2pm. It's a chance to take a moment, refresh or chat and is
open to all. One of our members is going regularly and very much enjoying
it.
Additionally at 12pm each week there will be a short prayer and on the
first Thursday of each month at 12pm there will be a five minute service
with a hymn.
Please feel free to pass this message on to anyone else who might be
interested.
They also provide drinks, fruit and biscuits.
