A chance to try out living on your own!
The Learning Disability Partnership Board and the Moving On From Hospital team have arranged for some work to be done at a bungalow in Ferndown. This means that the bungalow can now be used from Friday to Monday for visitors to stay and get a taste of independent living. There is equipment available to support people but if you need personal assistance you will need to arrange for someone to come and stay with you.
There is more information in the full paper (“operational policy”) for this service – you may want to ask someone to help you have a look at this and think about whether its right for you.
